VINE VARIETY: Monovarietal Montepulciano
SOIL: Clayey soil with calcareous marl located around the 42° parallel north.
GRAPEVINE CULTIVATION: Pergola
HARVESTING: By hand
VINIFICATION: Grape pressing and destemming and fermentation with maceration on the skins with cultured yeasts at 25°C controlled temperature.
REFINING: Temperature controlled stainless steel vats. During ageing the wine undergoes several analytical controls to assure its integrity.
BOTTLING: Cold sterile
ALCOHOL CONTENTS: 12,5% vol.
COLOR: Vibrant red with purplish hints, almost light tight.
NOSE: Intense, red fruit, pansy, spices and licorice with perceptible hints of hazelnut, complex under steady development.
PALATE: Full, firm, lean, well balanced, the presence of tannins is pleasant and gives a rounded note, with long and lingering finish.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 14° – 16°C
CURIOSITY: A well-known legend related by the Greek-Roman historian Polybius tells that the Carthaginian ruler Hannibal had his army drink the wine obtained from the Montepulciano vines and used it as curative remedy for war wounds.
