ORIGIN: Apulia in the provinces of Foggia, Bari and Barletta.
VINE VARIETY: Sangiovese, Merlot and Lambrusco.
SOIL: Medium-textured located around the 40° parallel north.
GRAPE CULTIVATION: Espalier and Arbor-trained
HARVESTING: Mechanical harvesting
VINIFICATION: Grape pressing and destemming and fermentation with cultured yeasts at 25°C controlled temperature.
REFINING: Stainless steel vats.
BOTTLING: Cold sterile
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 11%vol
COLOUR: Pale ruby red with slight garnet red tinges.
NOSE: Delicate and slightly flowery, hints of violet.
PALATE: Sapid, fresh, slightly tannic, lingering and velvety.
INTERNATIONAL PAIRINGS: Matambre (Argentina) – Steamed dumplings (China)
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16 – 18°C
CURIOSITY: It is cultivated all around Italy and is one of the most ancient and diffused Italian vines.
